It's been awhile since I joined deviantART with my first account, which had such a silly name that I will not divulge it. I continued with another account, and then settled on this one, finally posting my "good" art on it.
But it's time for me to leave.
I barely have any page views or comments, and the forums never interested me. In fact, the art doesn't interest me anymore.
If you're thinking, "Page views and comments aren't everything!" you're right, but I'm also quitting deviantART for my computer's safety. Our local computer store tried to do everything it could to save my laptop, but they finally determined that rooting out all of its viruses would cost more than getting a new one. Thus, I was offered a nice, new, floor-model Dell Vostro for $500, Vista and extra memory included. I was completely surprised that my mother bought it for me without a fuss, denying my pledge to pay for half of it.
The problem is, though, whenever I use the Vostro and try to access deviantART, popups and tracking cookies attack my system. Enough is enough. I suspect this website, as well as others I used to frequent, may have had something to do with my old laptop's demise.
Right now, I'm using my brother's gaming computer, which has antivirus software. The Vostro doesn't, and we need to buy some immediately.
Even if I do get antivirus programs, I'm not coming back. There's no reason for me to, if I'm not interested in deviantART anymore and it ruins my computer. I'm not 100% sure that's what did it in, but I'm not taking chances. I want my new laptop to last at least 5 years.
So, goodbye, whoever's reading this.

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I mean, really busy. ;D
